In case you are wondering - logo design

I came across one of Typepad's disadvantages when writing my last post... it diesn't automatically save progress. So when my computer died on me, so did my post.

It is half done (again), will finish it up tonight... :)

What's next

I will post an article on how to design a logo tonight - stay tuned for that. :)

And on a personal level... I had a job interview on Thursday, and was offered the position immediately. I am absolutely thrilled, since it is exactly what I was looking for - a step down career-wise, with a small company that has a great team and where I am doing exactly what I like doing.

Especially going a step back has caused some raised eyebrows, I have to admit. No-one seems to understand that I am taking such a hit money-wise. The definition of "success" still seems to be working long hours, traveling a lot, earning more money, and being stressed at all times.

For me, I need a company without too much internal, political hassle, and no excessive overtime. When you calculate my hourly rate, I am probably doing better than before - because somehow, working 60 hours doesn't pay all that well.

And it means I still have time for Etsy, my critters, painting, and my ferrets. Heaven! :)

My little helpers

Some of you know that I don't live all by myself, but that I share my place with ferrets. They aren't allowed to be anywhere near my craft things, though - and all my toys are washed before shipping, to make sure that they are hygienic. Not that much because of my ferrets, but more because the sock critters are of course handled when I sew them by hand.

After one of my ferrets died really young of cancer a couple of months ago, I needed someone new for the group. I was looking for only one, but then a couple came available in our shelter... so yes, I am back to 4 ferrets now. Probably not for long, since my oldest is already 6, but right now, I have my hands full. :)

These are the two new ones, Pepper and Spencer. They are only 11 months old and get along great with my "oldies".
